Bike Number 5

Other than knowing its Bike No.5 and it will have a "5" on the side I am still unsure of the theme I am going to do. A quick visit to Dave Batchelar to check progress didn't provide much more inspiration - but maybe when the pipes are on it will help.

I think the Black rims look good with the black cylinder blocks and starter motor.

New Exhaust Tips

Just re-jetted the carb on the Macbeth Bobber yesterday as it has not been going as well as it should - so raised the bore of the main and auxiliary jets and removed the Crime Scene Choppers spiked exhaust tips. We had previously welded baffles to these try and keep the noise down a bit, but unfortunately the back pressure was strangling the engine somewhat. I have now finished the exhausts off with some fine un-baffled Biltwell tips and it looks great and sounds like an artillery barrage. You will hear me coming.

Tank on

OK the bike is moving along nicely now and here a few pictures to mark progress - should get the rear wheel and other bits on in the next week or so and then its just the laborious task of wiring it all.

Huntsman MCC Show

Every year a local pub near me in Eridge Kent, throws open its garden for a bike show, band and BBQ - its mostly a mix of old British Bikes and Kawasaki Triples but a nice event - here are some shots. You can just see the Macbeth Bobber behind the nice Green BSA. It would have been nice to enter the competition, but I had to get back!

Go North!

I am planning a new Road Trip from Finland to Denmark to meet friends I met in some previous trips to the USA. The plan is to ship my bike to Finland with my pals at We Move Bikes - who helped me out when I came back from St Tropez.
Ride around Finland for three days with Helena and Kristian, then ferry to Stockholm, ride across Sweden to Malmo, then onto Copenhagen to meet Preben, for a big night out. Then over to Esbjerg for the ferry back to Harwich. The distance is 890 miles plus say 500 around Finland so not a bad trip at all. As much as I would like to take a nice custom bike - I think this is a trip for the 2009 Streetglide

Saddle is back & Website ready

The saddle is now back from Dianne at Chaos Custom and as usual she has done a fantastic job - cant wait to fit it on the bike.

I decided on using the new logo developed for the website, which is all ready to go as soon as I get Hamlet I finished, some T Shirts printed and the spares from the 2009 Street Bobs into my EBay store. So I am aiming for launch in early September.

A King of Infinite Space

Paint is back at last and so we can crack on with getting the bike finished - so I suspect it will be another month - probably September 1st. The quote is from Hamlet and I am planning another quote for the next one as they are similar.
